Online Therapy for People in Wisconsin. Life Coaching for the World.
With I RISE Therapy, true mental wellbeing isn't in knowing the right answers—it's in becoming the right answer for your life.
Here's how you do that with my growth counseling approach: I see you as the main field research expert of your life - always gathering data in the form of your thoughts, emotions, & experiences (both past & present). When you meet with me, I expect you to bring the data as best you see it. From there, we'll analyze it to develop a customized gameplan for you to reach your therapy goals.
If my approach resonates, then I look forward to working with you. If not, then that's okay, too. I wish you all the best either way!

I RISE Therapy can help with the typical mental health concerns most people seek counseling for, which include:

If you have a severe and persistent mental health disorder, need intensive outpatient services, or who have a mental health crisis or emergency, then I RISE Therapy is unable to help you. Examples of these can include but are not limited to:
If you or someone you know is experiencing a mental health crisis such as feeling suicidal, homicidal, unsafe, in danger, etc., then go to your nearest hospital Emergency Room (ER) or dial 911 or contact the National Crisis Hotline at 988.
I Rise Therapy LLC's online therapy and life coaching services are not able to support individuals experiencing mental health crises nor are I Rise Therapy LLC's services appropriate for individuals who are in need of intensive outpatient services.
These are the FAQ for potential I RISE Therapy clients.
Telehealth means we meet remotely (through the internet) via video conferencing technology through the SimplePractice platform.
When you request your FREE 15-minute Intro Call, you will provide your email address, which your email address is all you'll need to access your personal secure account in the Client Portal going forward.
Through your Client Portal account that you access with just your email address, you can complete intake paperwork, schedule your therapy sessions, make payments, and more.
You will need a smartphone, laptop, desktop, or tablet with a secure internet connection & video calling capabilities (i.e. camera & audio enabled).
Yes, it is HIPAA compliant as I use the SimplePractice platform that offers you your own personal, secure account to do electronic paperwork, billing, booking, etc. Also, Simple Practice has a free, secure app you can download from your preferred app store to make it even more convenient for you to do your telehealth video sessions and more!
No, not at this time. I RISE Therapy sessions are conducted via telehealth through the secure Client Portal provided by SimplePractice.
As a Wisconsin Licensed Professional Counselor, I am licensed only to see people who are physically present in the state of Wisconsin at the time of our telehealth therapy session. So, if you are not physically in the state of Wisconsin at the time of your telehealth therapy session, then I RISE Therapy services are not available to you. Sorry, it's the rules.
Unfortunately, as the law currently stands, there is no alternative for us to work together in therapy. You will need to find another therapist that is licensed to provide therapy where you live in your jurisdiction. A simple online search of "therapists near me" in your preferred web browser should yield you some results.
A private space or room in your home works great to maintain your confidentiality, privacy, and focus - and using headphones or earbuds can be helpful, too.
No, I do not accept health insurance as a form of payment for therapy sessions.
The cost is $100 for a 45-minute I RISE Therapy session via telehealth/online.
Contact me and we can discuss trying to find a payment amount that fits better for you.
Credit or debit cards (no checks) are accepted via the payment method you input in your Client Portal account.
Yes, so long as you can input your HSA card information as your payment method in lieu of a credit/debit card in your Client Portal account.
Your credit, debit, or HSA card that you input in your account as your payment method will be billed after each completed telehealth therapy session - not before.
All cancelations must be done more than 24 hours in advance before your scheduled appointment time. Any cancelations made within 24 hours or less of your scheduled appointment time will be charged a cancelation fee of $50 to your payment method on file.
Each telehealth therapy session is 45 minutes in length.
It depends on your life availability, my work availability, etc. But most people find meeting weekly or every other week to be a good fit for them. If you go any longer in-between appointments, then it can be harder to maintain progress and easier to regress or plateau.
